George Foreman, the renowned American heavyweight boxer and entrepreneur, has died at the age of 76. His family announced his passing on March 21, 2025, stating he died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.

Foreman's boxing career was illustrious; he won an Olympic gold medal in 1968 and became a two-time heavyweight champion. One of his most notable bouts was the 1974 "Rumble in the Jungle" against Muhammad Ali in Zaire, now the Democratic Republic of the Congo. After retiring in 1977 to become a minister, Foreman made a remarkable comeback in the 1980s, regaining the heavyweight title in 1994 at the age of 45, making him the oldest to do so.
Beyond boxing, Foreman became a successful entrepreneur, notably with his George Foreman Grill, which sold over 100 million units worldwide. He is survived by his wife, Mary Joan Martelly, and his ten children.
